Joyce Mechanical Services is seeking an experienced PAINTING TRADESPERSON to join their busy workshop in Mackay.
To be successful in this position, you should ideally be: Experienced in coating applications (Brush and Roller)Competent with airless and conventional spray paintingCompetent with abrasive blast equipmentClean metal surfaces for paintingSand and prepare parts for paintingPaint components to a strict specificationWrap components for dispatch after paintingEnsure safe working procedures and practices are followed at all timesUnderstand surface preparation and finishesBe able to understand and complete works to specificationsBe able to mix to correct ratio two-part paint coatingsSelect paints, varnishes, and stains to various surfaces using brushes, sprays, and rollersUnderstand the use of Wet Film Thickness Gauges and be able to achieve specified dry film thicknessBe able to work at heights and in confined spacesErect scaffolding and laddersClean equipment and work areasDesirable tickets: Good Communication SkillsHigh-Risk LicenseWorking at HeightsWhite CardConfined SpaceDriver's LicenceIf you feel you are the right person for the role, please apply now.
