Position: Painter Position Type : Full-Time Salary: $73,210.80 plus superannuation per annum Location: Mickleham VIC 3064 Our client is seeking a Painter to join their team located in Mickleham, Victoria.
As a Painter you will enhance and protect surfaces by applying paint, varnish, and other finishes to buildings, walls, and structures.
Prepare surfaces, mix colours, apply coatings using brushes, rollers, or sprays, and handle tasks like wallpaper installation.
You will ensure quality finishes and maintain tools, working on residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
Duties and responsibilities: Preparing surfaces involves removing old paint and wallpaper, repairing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces.
Using brushes, rollers, and sprays to apply paints, varnishes, and stains to surfaces.
Setting up scaffolding and ladders, and laying down drop sheets to shield nearby areas from paint splatters.
Applying paints, varnishes, and stains to surfaces with brushes, rollers, and sprays Hanging wallpaper, aligning patterns, and trimming edges Cleaning tools and workspaces May repair windows and replace glass in wooden and metal frames In some cases, tasks may extend to installing and repairing tiles on walls and floors.
Requirements: Certificate III or Certificate IV in Painting and Decorating Diploma of Building and Construction would also be highly regarded At least one (1) year of relevant experience as a Painter Valid Victorian drivers licence.
