Painter

Our client, Color Match Painting Pty Ltd in Cranbourne West, is looking for an experienced and dedicated painter.
Role description: Prepare area for paint by laying down drop sheets to cover floors, furniture, or other surfaces near the painting area. Clean, sand, fill, and prime surfaces to ensure they are ready for painting, including removing old paint, repairing cracks, and smoothing surfaces. Mix and match paint colours to achieve the required shades and finishes. Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers, ensuring even coverage and the desired finish quality. Apply wallpapers as per client requirements, ensuring proper pattern matching and trimming ends. Follow safety procedures, including use of scaffolding and ladders, the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain painting tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good working order. Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and make any necessary touch-ups or corrections. Efficiently manage time to meet project deadlines, while maintaining high standards of workmanship. Communicate with clients to understand their requirements and provide guidance on paint choices and finishes. Maintain accurate records of materials used, hours worked, and tasks completed. Eligibility Criteria: Certificate 3 in Painting Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience. Current Driver's License Construction induction card (white/Red Card) Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
