Company Address: 8 Grosvenor Court, Holtze NT 0829 Sponsorship Availability One position available for sponsorship for Painter Position Details Painter Tasks and Responsibilities Set up and operate tools common to the blast and paint trade Safely and efficiently operate blast equipment to remove corrosive surface from fabricated components in accordance with job specifications in preparation for application of protective coatings.
Prepare and apply protective coatings to fabricated components in accordance with job specifications, standards and data sheets.
Touch-up and rework products/areas as required.
Detect faulty operation of equipment and/or defective materials or products and notify supervisor. Transfer fabricated components between production departments in accordance with production schedules.
Move steel in paint/blast bay with overhead crane and forklift (where licenced and authorised).
Perform general housekeeping and maintenance of work areas, equipment, tools and facilities.
Safely and efficiently undertake all other duties in the paint/blast bay, yard/dispatch and workshop areas; Ensure compliance with Safety, Quality and Environmental Management processes and procedures.
Ensure appropriate communications between the various functions/divisions.
Must be physically fit and meet the physical demands of the hot and humid weather in NT.
