A casual position is currently available at the Inspirations Paint Bendigo store for an enthusiastic Paint Sales Assistant, working 10-20 hours per week, initially on Thursdays and Fridays with a minimum of 2 Saturday mornings a month. There may be an opportunity for more hours. Relevant personal experience in home improvement projects or within the paint or hardware industries is an advantage but not essential.
The position is available for immediate start and will include ongoing industry leading training. Store hours are between 7:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 8:30am - 12:00pm. The store is not open on Sundays or public holidays.
Responsibilities include: Following the "Inspirations Way" procedures Providing exceptional customer service to both retail and trade customers Tinting and mixing paint; colour advice and matching Paint and accessory deliveries as required Store presentation, stock management and housekeeping Workplace Health & Safety requirements Experience / Attributes: A background in sales and/or customer service with a paint specialist or in a hardware environment an advantage Practical experience in home improvement projects desirable Experience with automotive and industrial paints Approachable, confident and energetic with a pleasant disposition and the ability to effectively deal with customer queries and/or customer complaints. Able to problem solve using advanced communication skills A willingness to learn and continuously improve Able to contribute and work in a small team environment Honest, reliable and punctual Basic computer skills This role involves some heavy lifting up to 25kg If you have knowledge of the paint industry, are enthusiastic and motivated and have a genuine interest in people and providing an exceptional customer experience, we would like to hear from you.
