The Position Fantastic regional opportunity Fixed Term – Sessional appointment at 10 sessions per fortnight (0.5 FTE) This appointment is for 12 months covering maternity leave, with the possibility of extension.
In this role, you will provide expert clinical care to pediatric patients across the broader region.
This opportunity allows you to travel throughout the beautiful area, delivering healthcare to a variety of communities.
As a Consultant Pediatrician, you will be instrumental in leading and delivering high-quality clinical care, working closely with the Clinical Nurse Specialist of Pediatrics.
Your responsibilities will also include active participation in policy development and clinical governance to uphold the highest standards of patient care.
Additionally, you will oversee outpatient services, including developmental pediatrics.

The Location The located in the south-eastern corner of Western Australia and is the largest region in the state with a land area of 771,276 square kilometres.
The region is three times the size of the state of Victoria and just under a third of Western Australia's total land mass. The Facility The team is comprised of three (3) experienced Paediatricians and five (5) trainees, including a Senior Registrar, Registrar, and two Residents in accredited Paediatric training positions.
The Requirements Current AHPRA Registration.
Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians – Paediatric Medicine or an equivalent specialist qualification.
High-level skills in problem-solving and decision-making at both the clinical and individual levels.
This role includes an on-call requirement, providing you with the opportunity to make a significant impact in emergency and critical care situations.
