Our therapists typically undertake their work within the child's natural learning environments, using daily routines and activities to promote development and participation.
Ookami Kids is a registered NDIS provider of Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) and Therapeutic Supports.
We are seeking a Speech Pathologist who is passionate about supporting children and their families, committed to our approach, and understands the importance of providing service in accordance with the ChildKind Best Practice Framework.
Our team Team Ookami consists of experienced, passionate, and supportive professionals from a range of disciplines including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, and Allied Health Assistant Support.

Achievable billable targets which can be negotiated in line with the salary.Flexibility of days/hours of work and the opportunity to work from home.Be part of a local, supportive, and experienced small team who values shared learning, problem-solving, and collaboration.The ability to tailor your caseload to match your clinical interest areas.A generous PD allowance and an allocation of paid leave days for professional development.Use of a company vehicle for client visits or a paid travel allowance.Working at Ookami Kids, you will have: A genuine commitment to engaging in collaborative practice and working as part of a close-knit and supportive team.A passion for using a neuro-affirming, capacity-building, child/family-centred, strengths-based approach to service delivery, ensuring intervention is evidence-based and considered best practice.An ability to deliver Early Childhood Early Intervention utilizing a transdisciplinary key worker approach to strive towards best outcomes for the families and children we support.An understanding of current theory and up-to-date evidence-based paediatric speech pathology across a range of areas including speech, language, feeding, AAC, complex communication, and social communication.An ability to conduct speech pathology specific assessments and evaluations and interpret obtained data in reports.A demonstrated knowledge of informal assessment tools and intervention options relevant for children with a disability, developmental delay, or neurodivergence.A demonstrated ability to work independently whilst seeking out support from a supervisor/manager where applicable and appropriate.An ability to plan, organise, and manage own workload and prioritise and meet deadlines as necessary.Strong interpersonal and written communication skills and the ability to build rapport with people from all backgrounds.A growth mindset and a commitment to being a lifelong learner.Qualifications and Experience A recognised qualification in Speech Pathology.Current certified practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).Current Working with Children Check.Current National Police Record Check.Satisfactory NDIS Workers Screening Check.Current Victorian Driver's Licence and access to a motor vehicle.If you think you would be a good fit within our team, please email us at ****** or reach out via our website: join-our-team
