).We are fun, laid-back, and enjoy listening to music in our clinic!We provide highly specialised services to complex cases in the field of disability, such as those living with cerebral palsy, other brain injuries and rare genetic syndromes.We love working with high tech assistive communication technology such as eye gaze (e.g.
Neuronode) for those who require augmentative or alternative communication options (AAC).
So you will have the opportunity for training in this area.We are one of the few private practices in Australia who use Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation and sEMG biofeedback in the treatment of dysphagia (VitalStim Plus).We offer expertise, compassion, empathy and understanding when providing services to help bridge the gap between ineffective and effective communication and feeding skills.About you: You have a Bachelor's or Masters degree in Speech Pathology.You are a SPA member with CPSP status, have your WWCC, police check, and current CPR certification (or able to get).You have current Professional Indemnity insurance (or able to get).You are fun, playful and have a positive outlook.You are a keen learner and enjoy ongoing training and professional development.You can work autonomously and show initiative.You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills for rapport building.You have demonstrated experience in the assessment and treatment of a paediatric caseload.You love a challenge and trying new things.PROMPT, Hanen, AAC and/or feeding experience preferable but not essential as we can provide training in these areas.If you think this sounds like you and are interested, please apply below or contact us for more info!
