Paediatric Registrar

The Position Support the Pediatric service in delivering care to both inpatients (general pediatric and neonatal unit) and ambulatory patients from the facility and remote communities.
Key responsibilities include: Providing inpatient care in general pediatric wards and the neonatal unit.
Offering routine and emergency after-hours care on a rotating roster.
Conducting general pediatric outpatient clinics.
Participating in providing specialist pediatric outreach services to regional hospitals and remote communities.

The Facility This 189-bed specialist teaching hospital serves a population spread over 1.6 million square kilometers, offering unique and rewarding challenges in healthcare delivery.
Established in 1977, it underwent extensive redevelopment in 2002 and 2009, and is surrounded by beautifully designed gardens and outdoor areas.
The hospital provides a range of services, including Day Procedures, Emergency, Intensive Care, High Dependency, Maternity, Medical, Outpatients, Paediatric, Special Care Nursery, Surgical, and Mental Health care, along with various clinical support services.
It is accredited by the Australian Council of Healthcare Standards and maintains links with numerous external research organisations.
The Requirements Eligible for general registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
A minimum of 3 years paediatric experience incorporating inpatient and outpatient care.
or senior medical experience as a general practice or emergency trainee with particular interest in paediatrics.
