Senior Registrar SREG1 - SREG2 (Remuneration Package $188,958 - $206,410) Division of Women Children and Youth Fixed vacancy in Alice Springs for 12 months Alice Springs Hospital is seeking a motivated senior registrar to work within the Paediatric team commencing as early as term 4 of 2024 and applications for 2025 are being accepted.
We are seeking candidates to provide a high standard of medical care to inpatients and outpatients of the ASH, which includes patients transported from the Barkly and fringing townships of Western and South Australia, covering over 1 million km2 with around 50,000 Emergency Department presentations, 22% of which are paediatrics.
Responsibilities include:
Promoting clinical standards and quality of care through effective and efficient patient management. Attending teaching and unit meetings. Conducting outreach clinics to remote communities and regional centres throughout Northern Territory (NT). Providing supervision, teaching, and mentoring of Resident Medical Officers and Interns. Maintaining Advance Life Support (ALS) accreditation. The paediatrics ward has 30 beds and 2 treatment rooms, while supporting the neonatal unit.
We also run our Specialist Outpatient and Outreach clinics in conjunction with the nurse Liaison team.
