Job Description About the roleWe are seeking an experienced OT for a permanent opportunity. Recognised as a family friendly and flexible workplace environment, we are open to the successful applicant working full-time or part-time (22.8 or 30.4 hours per week). We also offer a hybrid model of working remotely from home and meeting with consumers in their natural surroundings or within our offices in Warragul.As a Windermere Occupational Therapist, you will:deliver a broad range of evidence informed intervention strategies, standardised assessments and parent training to increase communication and active participation in social and educational settings for children;undertake face to face consultation and relationship building in natural environments, schools and kindergartens as well as our modern office facilities and therapy spaces;liaise and collaborate with a transdisciplinary team to design and deliver comprehensive support plans; andProvide key worker support and advice to families and children in relation to speaking, listening, understanding language, fluency and social skills. Furthermore,you will have specialist knowledge and relevant demonstrated OT experience within a paediatric practice.KEY SELECTION CRITERIATertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy with current and ongoing registration with AHPRASound theoretical knowledge, ideally with a minimum of 2 years discipline specific clinical experience, with particular reference to paediatric practice 0-12 yearsDemonstrated knowledge of typical development and common conditions such as autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy and developmental delayKnowledge and skills in the assessment, intervention and evaluation services for children & familiesDemonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as work independently, including office based or remote off-site locationsDemonstrated ability to effectively manage use of time in a fast paced, complex service environment in order to meet service KPIs and provide a consumer-focused, high-quality and responsive serviceDemonstrated knowledge in the assessment and prescription of assistive technologyAbility to use a computer and all relevant technologyWillingness to promote and support practices that are inclusive, culturally responsive, safe and accessible.Current Victorian Drivers' Licence.Willingness to undertake relevant pre-employment screening and checks- including NDIS worker screening check, Police Check, Pre-Employment Medical and Working with Children's checkRight to Work in Australia e.g. Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Visa holder with full working rights If this opportunity excites you, then click the "Apply" button to view the detailedposition descriptionand submit your application.
