Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Details of the offer

The Thrive Spot Illawarra – Wollongong NSW
The Thrive Spot are seeking Occupational Therapists who are passionate about supporting children with disabilities in the Illawarra. Our focus is to provide quality care to our clients and their families within home, clinic, school, and community environments.
We are currently looking for full-time and/or part-time Occupational Therapists to work with our existing multidisciplinary team of experienced therapists.
Your caseload will vary greatly, working with children from 0 to 18 years old with different needs, and you will have a team to support you with any form of administration.
We are extremely passionate about creating a sustainable working environment with low billable targets and a strong focus on ensuring staff have the resources and administration support they need to assess and treat our clients. Our team also has internal fortnightly supervision and team meetings as well as offers external professional development. We value quality over quantity and autonomy.
We offer a flexible workplace, so if you need to start later, finish early, or spread hours over a certain number of days - that is fine by us!
Our office is located in Dapto with 4 clinic rooms and off-street parking. Our clinic rooms are varied in size, including a large sensory playroom and are full of resources. We also have a joint office space, reception area, and staff kitchen space.
Our clinic director is an experienced Speech Pathologist whose area of expertise is AAC and complex paediatric clients, and our Senior Occupational Therapist loves all things sensory integration. We love that we can be a one-stop clinical service to our fantastic kids and their families.
We are offering an annual professional development budget as well as a competitive salary and superannuation. We also have a rewards system in place for our team for clinical KPIs being met!
So enough waffling, why would you want to work with us:
Flexibility to manage your own schedule & caseload Our clinicians manage their own schedule and select their clients based on their skills and clinical interests.
Unparalleled, unlimited supervision and support We pride ourselves on the high level of supervision and support we provide our employees. You will receive regular operational supervision from your team leader, and clinical supervision is a priority every single week.
We set you up for success You will receive an iPad and all the therapy materials and toys you need. We have endless therapy resources and are continuously updating these as requested - need a Minecraft Lego or a Bluey house… no problems!
Professional Development You have an annual professional development budget and paid days to attend the PD. Your team leader will work with you to design a bespoke learning plan that will be a mix of external and internal PD.
Bonuses are available to clinicians who exceed their clinical hours for the month - you've done the hard work, and you deserve to be rewarded!
Work from Home Want to do non-face-to-face work from home? No problems. Need to stop work and go pick up the kids and finish off things later? No problems. Our Directors have small children of their own and highly value being able to work from home as well as from the office.
Culture We genuinely care about and support each other, and we hope this shines through in everything that we do. We have quarterly out-of-hours events (Bowling, Axe Throwing, Escape Rooms - just to name a few) as well as regular lunch catch-ups and school holiday training days!
New Graduates or soon-to-be graduates are welcome to apply - finishing your degree in 2024, don't wait to apply!
