ODEEP is a not-for-profit, community-based Early Childhood Intervention Service and a registered NDIS provider for children & young people with disabilities and developmental delays and their families based in Orange and servicing the surrounding areas.

Position OverviewA position is vacant within our multidisciplinary team for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist.
Work alongside a team of Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Dietitians, Early Childhood Teachers, other Occupational Therapists and Allied Health Assistants.
Work full time or part time hours as negotiated, with option of 9-day fortnight for full time staff.

Bachelor of Applied Science/Health Science (Occupational Therapy).AHPRA registration.Working with Children Check.NDIS worker screening check or willingness to obtain.Current Drivers Licence.Demonstrated high level of oral and written communication skills.Demonstrated understanding and experience in implementing evidence-based practices.Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.Willingness to contribute to a positive workplace culture and uphold current staff values including collaborative teamwork, excellent customer service, open and transparent communication, contributing to a supportive and resourceful team and the provision of innovative and flexible services.Experience working with children who have disabilities and/or developmental delays (such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Global Developmental Delay) aged from birth-12 years and their families.Demonstrated experience in play-based assessment techniques and designing appropriate functional interventions to identify and address children's needs as they relate to occupational therapy.Demonstrated understanding and experience working in a transdisciplinary team.Demonstrated experience working in a Key Worker role as part of a transdisciplinary team.Demonstrated experience in prescribing assistive technology and/or home modifications.Demonstrated understanding and experience in implementing the principles of Family-Centred Practice.Experience supporting the inclusion of children with additional needs into early childhood services, other community activities and/or schools.Previous experience supervising and supporting other Occupational Therapists.Previous experience in the provision of services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme.Application ProcessPlease contact Bronwen Atkinson at ODEEP on (02) 63 614*** for further information or submit an application by emailing your resume and a cover letter addressing the selection criteria to ****** by COB Friday 1st November 2024.
