For Graduate OTs
Your journey begins with mastering the fundamentals of paediatric occupational therapy. The Role – Graduate & Experienced OTs As an Occupational Therapist at Paediatric Potentials OT, you will play a vital role in empowering children and young people to reach their full potential. Whether you're a recent graduate or an experienced professional, you'll find the support and resources you need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities: Delivering Therapy Across Multiple Formats : Conduct therapy sessions in-clinic, via telehealth, and through home programs, ensuring flexibility in service delivery to meet diverse client needs. Managing a Varied Caseload : Work with paediatric clients across different age groups and developmental stages, addressing both simple and complex conditions with guidance and support from senior staff. Producing High-Quality Documentation : Create essential client documentation such as progress reports, NDIS reviews, and specialist letters. You'll be supported by senior OTs to ensure consistency and accuracy in all reports. Conducting Assessments and Equipment Trials : Carry out functional assessments and equipment trials to meet clients' evolving needs, with growing independence as you gain experience. Collaborating with Stakeholders : Engage with allied health professionals, educators, and families to ensure cohesive support for each client's development. Time Management and Professional Growth : Effectively utilise non-contact time for documentation, planning, and professional development. Participate in supervision and take initiative to seek additional guidance when required. What We Do for YOU Your Own Office from Day One : We understand the importance of having your own space. Personalise it with those little touches and create a comfortable environment that your clients will come to know and love—no more booking shared therapy rooms! Effortless Administration : Our Administration Team, comprising two full-time receptionists and a Practice Manager, handles all appointment scheduling and rescheduling, invoicing, payment follow-ups, documentation request confirmations, NDIS service agreements, scanning, filing and much more - allowing you to focus solely on your clinical work. Achievable Targets : All of our therapists work towards managing 5 client contact hours per day, ensuring a balanced and productive workload. Balanced Workload : Client sessions are scheduled for 45 minutes (face-to-face) together with non-contact time for documentation (note taking) and preparation for each session. Dedicated Documentation Time : Additional non-contact time is factored into each day to allow you to complete reports, letters, progress notes, emails, and more. Support On-Demand : Daily access to senior staff support. Staff can book time each day with senior OTs to discuss client-related questions, offering an additional layer of support alongside scheduled supervision sessions. Our team of senior staff all have between 10-25 years of professional experience! Ongoing Training : Weekly Professional Development opportunities to support your continuous growth. Team-Oriented Culture : Weekly BUZZ meetings to share successes, challenges, and the team's focus for the week. Team Events and Well-being : Each term, we host catered team lunches, mid-term drinks or team catchups, end-of-term long lunches, themed fundraising days, and celebrate birthdays with cakes galore! Skills and Qualities We Value A hardworking, driven team player who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and rises to the challenges each day can bring. A passion for working with children and families and a strong interest in working with children with various delays or disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Global Developmental Delay, learning difficulties, Sensory Processing challenges, and Down Syndrome. Proven ability to manage a varied caseload with support and guidance through formal supervision, weekly team meetings, and on-the-job training. Excellent time management and prioritisation skills combined with a personal drive to learn and grow . Exceptional interpersonal skills and the capacity to work productively in a team. We have positions for Graduate OTs, Experienced OTs, and Senior OTs.
