Job Description We are looking for an experienced Scuba Service Technician to join our team 2-3 days per week, with potential for additional days. If you're a skilled technician with a passion for diving, we'd love to hear from you!
Dive Centre Manly is situated closest to some of Sydney's best dive sites, including Cabbage Tree Bay. Being a multi-award winning PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre we offer a complete range of dive courses from beginner level Introduction to Snorkelling & Discover Scuba up to Instructor level and beyond – including Sydney's most talked about Learn to Dive course.
Our facilities include:
3 meter-deep heated and floodlight diver training pool Air-conditioned classrooms Scuba equipment servicing workshop In this role, you'll be essential to the smooth operating of our dive centre, applying your technical knowledge to service and maintain a wide range of scuba equipment and handle general maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities: Inspect, service, and repair scuba regulators, BCDs, and other diving equipment Scheduled maintenance of air compressors to ensure reliable, high-quality air for divers Maintain and service tanks , including valve servicing, annual visual inspections, and hydrostatic testing in accordance with Australian Standards Perform planned maintenance of the training pool, vehicles, and handle ad-hoc maintenance requests for both our Dive Centre Manly Store and Diver Training Centre Annual servicing of customer dive equipment to manufacturer specifications Requirements: Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role Strong knowledge of dive equipment, including safety standards, technical expertise, and industry regulations Ability to read and follow schematics Accredited Hydrostatic Testing Technician (desired but not essential as this can be provided) Experience in air compressor maintenance Hands-on experience with general maintenance tasks Able to multi-task, organised and detail-oriented , with a proactive approach and excellent record-keeping skills On-the-job training will be provided, but at least two years of experience in equipment servicing is essential. Additional work opportunities as a PADI Divemaster or Instructor are available.
