MARS Recruitment is seeking experienced Anaesthetic and Post-Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurses for an opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive healthcare environment in Northern NSW!Dates: 06/01/25 - Ongoing - Minimum 4 weeks commitment*About this contract:Join a well-equipped facility offering a comprehensive range of surgical services, including general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, gynecology, and more.
As an Anaes/PACU RN, you'll be an essential part of the perioperative team, ensuring safe and effective care for patients during and after surgical procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesAnaesthetic Nursing: Assist anesthetists during surgical procedures, monitor patients' vital signs, and ensure safe induction and recovery.PACU Nursing: Provide close observation and critical care to patients immediately post-surgery, managing pain, monitoring airways, and ensuring stability.Patient Advocacy: Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their needs are met and communicating effectively with surgical teams.Emergency Response: Be prepared to handle adverse events or complications with professionalism and expertise.Patient Education: Educate patients and families about post-operative care and recovery plans.Collaboration: Work closely with surgeons, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.What's on Offer?Contract Length: 4 weeks + (New Year start)Hourly Rate: $40.92 - $54.56 per hour + Super (based on experience) + Contractor BonusAccommodation: Provided at no costTravel: Reimbursed or pre-arrangedRoster: 38 hours per week, with additional hours available at casual ratesWhat You NeedCurrent AHPRA RegistrationMinimum 2 years of Anaesthetic/PACU experienceFull working rights in Australia (no visa sponsorship available)ACLS Certification (or willingness to obtain)Proven ability to manage critical care patients' post-anesthesiaNSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to applyWhy Choose Grafton, NSW for Your Locum Adventure?Discover Grafton-a locum destination with small-town charm, stunning river views, and vibrant community life!
