About the role You will be responsible for leading packaging development projects from concept through to launch, driving sustainability initiatives, and delivering value engineering solutions for existing packaging whilst providing technical expertise across the business and to our customers.
The role will work closely with our marketing, sales, operations, and new product development teams across our internal manufacturing facilities, as well as with third-party providers. You will work closely with our Operations teams on troubleshooting and improving existing processes and product performance throughout the supply chain with a focus on delivering high-quality products.
Act as a technical reference point for all things packaging related.Work with our marketing and sales team on the development of the NPD pipeline leveraging emerging packaging trends and technologies to ensure Noumi products remain relevant and have great presence when displayed for sale.Work with key packaging suppliers to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions.Provide support to the procurement function on key packaging tenders and supplier selection.Provide technical support to operations around troubleshooting product quality issues throughout the full supply chain.Work with the operations team on product enhancements, management of product variation, and process improvement.Development and maintenance of packaging specifications.About you We are looking for an energetic and quick learner who is comfortable working in a team environment. You will also:
Hold relevant tertiary qualifications.Have previous experience in packaging development or related positions within manufacturing, preferably in the UHT beverage industry.Demonstrate knowledge of packaging materials, packaging conversion, and sustainability.Ensure quality, safety, and environmental standards are implemented and adhered to.Have demonstrated experience in leading and implementing projects across both innovation and operational packaging.Have the ability to think longer term while delivering in the short term.Possess solid communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to build rapport and credibility quickly across various stakeholder groups.Exhibit excellent time management skills and an ability to prioritize.Be an independent and autonomous thinker.Have a structured approach to problem solving.Be passionately curious.Why Noumi?
