They perform an integral role in the development of ANZ infrastructure across mining and resources, transport and power markets.Join one of the top players in the hydropower and renewable energies market and contribute to shaping the mega trend decarbonization!THE ROLEThe Package Manager is primarily responsible for managing all aspects of the onshore (Australia) Electrical Balance of Plant (BoPe) Design and Supply contracts, with a strong focus on ensuring that all design and supply of such electrical scope is delivered in accordance with the contract requirements.The Package Manager reports to the Project Director in a collaborative and positive manner to ensure an effective and integrated project delivery, driving sound technical and commercial outcomes in a team environment in line with the Integrated Programme for the Project.Actively establishes and maintains professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.Your tasksPlan, direct, and manage full scope of electrical design and supply scope packages to ensure each stage is delivered on time delivery, on budget and to specification.Manage and drive key design and supply activities of suppliers and interface with other project stakeholders (internal and external).Delegate tasks to multi-disciplinary project team and manage to ensure work in completed on time and to a high standard.Ensure Supplier's deliverables and interrelated work is completed sequentially and in accordance with the contract and the project's key delivery dates.Pursue opportunities for design optimisation/value engineering.Communicate outputs and guide action based on identification of any impacts on schedule, quality and cost and mitigation of impacts and reporting as required.Share regular progress reports with stakeholders and client.Resolve issues or delays, reduce risk of delays and cost overruns.Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to solve technical, budget and time constraints.Review project documents such as design drawings, specifications, inspection reports and changes and take appropriate action if required.Conduct regular meetings with suppliers and engineering / other stakeholders.Identify, mitigate, and escalate risks to enable the project to meet its project schedule and obligations, minimize risk and maximize opportunities for cost avoidance and/or cost reduction.Regular interaction with Quality to ensure timely inspections and review inspection reports to be across any material corrective actions required.Monitor performance and/or KPIs and proactively resolve issues related to supplier performance; andEnsure that all records are methodically archived in line with procedures as the project progresses.Your profileTertiary qualifications in Project Management / Electrical Engineering, Professional Engineer, and advantageExperience in the procurement of electrical plant and equipment for large infrastructure projects.Experience in quality coordination in supply chain desirable.Sound experience in electrical design practices.Experience in Substation construction and installation.Experience in HV and LV reticulation.Experience in commissioning of electrical power infrastructure.BENEFITSLeave your mark on one of Australia's largest historical and most Iconic Snowy Hydro projectFeel the reward of being able to develop programs, planning and procedures that you will be able to see through to completionGet experience across a highly complex project that will accelerate your career progression and professional development.PROJECT INFORMATIONSnowy 2.0 is the next generation of the iconic Snowy Mountains Hydroelectric Scheme, and construction of this major pumped hydro project is well underway.
