Join De Grey Mining in the newly created role of Package & Logistics Lead, reporting to the Engineering Manager. In this key position, you will be responsible for executing the management of procurement processes and the overall logistics for the Hemi Project, playing a pivotal role in the success of our world-class project.
Key Responsibilities
Package management from tender through to through to implementation, ensuring all supplier and project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
Liaise with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and third-party contractors to coordinate package activities.
Manage procurement, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and overseeing supplier performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure deliverables are compatible with project requirements.
Overall responsibility for project logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, distribution, materials handling and permitting to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
Monitor logistics performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise project performance targets.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Factory acceptance and inspection testing for all major equipment.
Skills and Experience
Qualifications in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Mining and Mineral processing plant project experience
Proven experience in package management, project management, and large scale project logistics.
Strong knowledge of logistics, processes, and regulations.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Projects or equivalent.
