Pacific Industries Ltd (PIL) is a reputable food and beverage manufacturer and distributor of leading international brands in Papua New Guinea. Established in 1936, PIL is one of the largest privately owned fast-moving consumable goods (FMCG) companies in the country. We offer an extensive range of products including carbonated beverages, bottled water, juices, ice cream, cordial, milk powder, snacks, and spreads. PIL is the licensed and exclusive bottler for all PepsiCo products in Papua New Guinea and also serves as the distributor for Vita Juice, Vita Water, and Bega spreads. Our products are distributed nationwide through our 11 branches located throughout Papua New Guinea. PIL operates two manufacturing facilities: the original factory in Rabaul and a second factory situated in the nation's capital, Port Moresby. POSITION OBJECTIVE
This is an extremely dynamic role that requires a high level of critical thinking, problem solving and strategizing capabilities, specific to the FMCG market. The primary objective of this role is to lead, drive, and manage sales vs budget outcomes through our key sales relationships, and internal sales heads across our entire national territory/branch network. A significant focus will also be on gathering/managing market intelligence, compliance, trade promotions, price pack architecture, net revenue management, and most importantly partnership agreements aimed at adding value for customers and driving incremental volume, share and profits for PIL.
A large focus for future growth and sustainability also involves inspiring, mentoring, coaching, and developing talent to align with expectations and strategic objectives. These objectives should result in an increase in performance and more specifically sales volume, revenue, budgets, and trade execution targets.
To work collaboratively with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Workshop, and many other internal departments to maximize efficiencies, customer service, profitability, volume / revenue growth, market share & brand equity.
DIRECT REPORTS
All Regional Sales Managers, Regional Managers, and Branch Managers.

Comply with and promote the requirements of the PIL OH&S policy, and other related policies, procedures, rules, and instructions.
Always have a 'Safety First' approach when driving company vehicle.
Driving company vehicle while consuming or under the influence of alcohol is a dismissible offence.
JOB PROFILE / ROSTER
Full-time and hands-on role that reports to the National Sales Manager, General Manager, CFO and Company Directors. Expected working hours are from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm from Monday to Friday and Saturday 8:00 am to 12 noon.
MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Host and conduct weekly sales meetings with all sales heads.
Manage Monthly, Quarterly and Annual sales achievements vs budget.
Manage all Key customer relationships in conjunction with Regional and Branch managers.
Leverage on relationships built to ensure monthly, quarterly and annual volume share targets are maximized.
Demonstrate strong, consistent, and committed leadership values.
Assess and analyze the current sales landscape, pinpointing gaps and barriers to increase sales performance.
Create and propose sales strategies and objectives that lead to increases in volume, profits, brand equity/share, and distribution.
Conduct visits to branches and customers regularly.
Develop and present training workshops to enhance skills and align sales teams with strategic objectives.
Manage and address all customer queries and complaints in accordance with company policies.
QUALIFICATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimum of 5 years' experience in the beverage or FMCG industry (preferably Beverage).
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a sales Manager.
Demonstrates a deep understanding of Sales and demand management.
A Degree in Business.
