About the role:
Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, this newly created P&C Manager role is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of human resources within NDE Solutions. This includes extensive involvement in the development and implementation of HR processes and procedures, embedding the culture across multiple sites, leading the business in industrial and employee relations, future EBA negotiations, and change management. Additionally, this position will support the P&C Coordinator and junior leaders through coaching and mentoring, manage risks, and drive the business towards achieving its growth objectives. This role will also be a key member of the strategy group which is embedded at the crucial intersection between operations and finance and will be exposed to significant commercial and governance discussions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement and deliver people and culture policies and procedures across the business.
Work with the Chief Strategy Officer and the broader strategy team to develop and implement a P&C framework that ensures a culture of clarity and accountability.
Maintain and further develop industrial relations policies and procedures.
Address and resolve complex employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, managers, industrial representatives, and external bodies.
Empower the junior leaders through coaching and mentoring; focusing on leadership development that meets business needs.
Support the organisation through major growth targets.
Support the delivery and implementation of new technology packages for HR management.
Develop and implement onboarding processes, induction packs, and probation reviews.
Nurture a positive working environment, employee wellbeing and employee engagement levels.
About you:
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills; capable of coaching and mentoring junior leaders, managing risks, and driving the business towards achieving its growth objectives. You will have a passion for building P&C structures from the ground up, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and excel at building meaningful relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Essential:
Eager to work for a fast paced, growing business, with the opportunity to implement huge change, and evolve with the business.
Tertiary qualified in Human Resources or related field.
Minimum of three-five years of experience working as a Senior HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or similar role.
High level of influencing, leadership, and engagement skills.
A credible and ethical approach to HR practice and a proven ability to negotiate and interact on sensitive and complex people management and industrial relations issues.
Capable of leading by example, inspiring others, and fostering a positive work environment.
Demonstrates integrity, fairness, and honesty in all interactions and decisions.
Shows genuine concern for employees' well-being and is approachable and understanding in dealing with personal and professional issues.
Other:
There will be some ADHOC travel required for this position. NDE Solutions have locations in other capital cities as well as in regional sites.
