We are seeking a Trade Controls Integration Specialist to join Boeing and support the world class airborne surveillance, communications and maritime patrol system; the P-8A Poseidon. You will play a vital role in safeguarding a world class maritime, intelligence, surveillance and response aircraft in the P-8A Poseidon.The successful applicant will join part of a team introducing the latest aircraft upgrade programs and providing ongoing sustainment support for the existing fleet. A significant number of advanced capabilities and upgrades are being introduced in the coming years across the platforms, and you will be heavily involved in delivering them.In this role you will learn the Program's trade control requirements, and work closely with various internal stakeholders as our interface to the Global Trade Control (GTC) function on matters relating to the operational aspects of the Program's trade control requirements.This niche role will suit someone who has a background in Project Management, Contracts or Defence. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the ability to interpret complex policy and procedure and an interest in ensuring accuracy in that interpretation of policy.The role is located at RAAF Edinburgh, South Australia.As a Trade Controls Integration Specialist within BDA, your tasks will include:Operational day-to-day execution and administration of the Program's trade control tasks.Act as the Integrated Control Plan (ICP) Owner, administering trade control compliance requirements under relevant Australian and US export authorisations.Management of trade control authorities once approved, including ongoing engagement to ensure they stay aligned to contracted statements of work.Management and support around the logistical movement of goods and technology and compliance with approved trade control authorities.In partnership with GTC, support training objectives for ongoing education and awareness around trade controls.In partnership with GTC, plan and conduct trade control compliance assessments and objective testing for the Program.Identify opportunities and implement best practices to increase the Program's overall awareness of trade compliance requirements.Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.About youTo be successful in this role you will have:Previous experience in either a Contracts, Legal or Defence background highly regarded.Demonstrated experience to engage, influence and negotiate with a range of stakeholders.Effective customer service, strong communication and influencing skills working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.Process oriented with attention to detail.Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements, and will be required to obtain a minimum NV1 clearance.What's on offer?BDA provides people, expertise, process and tools to manage aircraft design, repair and continuing airworthiness capabilities supporting program execution and growth opportunities.
