They are looking for a senior environmental officer who can provide guidance on meeting the organisation's environmental management commitments.
Your new role You will be responsible for managing a variety of environmental issues including noise, air quality, flora, fauna, contaminated land, soil and water. Additionally, you will provide advice regarding implementation of environmental assessments, legislation, compliance and management during all phases of projects.
Additional responsibilities:
Prepare and review Environmental Management Plans (EMPs), Environmental Factors (REF), Environmental Assessment Reports (EAR), contract specifications, audits, briefs and other environmental reports Assist in the development and implementation of policies, methodologies, standards and specifications Liaise with other Environmental Officers to ensure state-wide environmental management consistency where appropriate. What you'll need to succeed You have tertiary qualification in environmental science, environmental management, environmental planning or other equivalent qualifications. Moreover, you have experience in preparing environmental management plans and reports. You have strong knowledge of the legislative environment in Queensland, including the integrated planning act.
