Job Description
First impressions are everything! Your engaging smile and personality are the essence of a great Overnight Front Desk Agent at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel. As you personally greet our guests and assist them, you will be empowered to deliver on our mission of "Turning moments into memories" for our guests. As our Overnight Agent, you will thrive working on site with our overnight team to ensure guest safety and satisfaction while also completing the end-of-day accounting duties. What's in it for you: $24.52 per hourEmployee travel program offering discounted rates in Fairmont's and Accor worldwideParking DiscountsComplimentary meal in our Staff Dining roomLearning programs through our Academies401K Retirement plans with a 4% match for all colleaguesOpportunity to develop your talent and grow within your property and across the world!Ability to make a difference through our Corporate Social Responsibility activitiesFun, elegant atmosphere with amazing colleagues!Key Responsibilities: Maintains a high level of professionalism in all aspects of job performance.Ensures guests are recognized upon arrival, receiving a warm greeting and appropriate assistanceEfficiently handle check-in and check-out procedures, maintaining accuracy and attention to detailAssist guests with inquiries, requests and reservations, providing information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractionsReconcile the day's revenue balances and ensures payments to the guest ledger are processedBalance all PM accounts and prepare Promo Account receipts, by account numberVerify all daily transactions and audit for discrepancies or errorsPrepare daily reports and complete system back-ups per established guidelines and proceduresEnsures Fairmont standards, procedures, and practices (LQA, Forbes, etc.) are followed by providing the highest quality of service, attention to detail and care requiredMaintains communication with all departments of the hotelPromotes positive colleague relations through an environment that encourages open communication trust and mutual respectPerforms any and all other tasks which are assigned by managementQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferredPrevious front desk or customer service experience preferredExcellent organizational and communication skillsAbility to work independently and prioritize responsibilities and handle a multitude of tasks, colleagues and guest requestsPassion for guest service and strong guest service orientation requiredHighly organized, results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressureProficiency in Windows XP and MS Office requiredAbility to work a variety of hours/days/holidays/weekends as business needs requireVisa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the United StatesPhysical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): Must be able to stand on feet throughout the shift, with intermittent periods of walkingMust be able to frequently lift and carry up to 10 lbs at shoulder heightMust be able to occasionally push/pull up to 50 lbsMust be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionallyMust be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basisAdditional Information
