Respite Cottage Care Worker - what's involved in the role? Hammond Care's Respite cottages provide guests with individualised support from our professional staff and are ideal for stays of up to 10 nights.

This Care Worker role will deliver care within our Jean Marrion Cottage and River Oak Social Club. Carers provide care for our Guests in our cottages, which includes personal care (assisting with personal grooming), medication supervision, specialised care according to each client's care plan, as well as social support. Each guest can enjoy all the benefits of residential care, including specialised clinical care, support with daily tasks, a wide range of social activities, plus delicious meals prepared fresh daily. No formal qualification is necessary; however, Certificate III Individual Support is an advantage. First Aid certificate desirable. Empathy and compassion are a must. A strong team player, who can communicate professionally changes in care, complete all documentation, whilst maintaining confidentiality.
