Outside Sales Parts Representative – VOLVO, KENWORTH, DAF, FUSO CJD Equipment is looking for an Outside Sales Parts Representative to join the team in a newly created role, where your focus will be to service our existing customers and attract new customers from across the state.
Reporting to the State Parts Manager, you will work closely with the rest of the parts and sales team to develop strategies and achieve your targets.
With customer satisfaction and building lasting relationships at the forefront, your enthusiastic approach will ensure a high-quality service is delivered every time!
This role, which will require travel to customer sites across the state, has the potential to be based in any of our three Tasmania Branches – Launceston, Hobart or Burnie.
A day on the job will see you: Get hands on with the develop and execution of a territory sales plan to engage new and existing customers.
Work closely with the State Parts Manager & Parts Supervisors to achieve sales forecasts, KPIs and strategic plans.
Proactively assist customers to select suitable aftermarket parts and promote, prepare quotes, and finalise orders.
Report customer contacts and interactions via our CRM system and conduct timely and customer-needs focussed inspections and visits.
Take the lead in customer issue resolutions and follow up the relevant department to ensure the necessary corrective actions have taken place.
Participate in trade shows, field days and events.
Relay service sales enquiries, orders and opportunities to the relevant service department.
Update and maintain practical knowledge of innovations, trends and market competitors.
What you need to get the job done: Australia drivers' licence and the ability to travel to our customers (tool of trade vehicle provided).
A proven track record in a similar role within a hands-on operational environment.
Relevant trade certificate – highly beneficial.
All the common things – decent computing and Microsoft Office skills, great communicator both written and verbal, motivated self-starter.
Sharp negotiation skills – you know how to strike a good deal for customers, while achieving a win for the business.
A demonstrated ability to develop long-term relationships, resulting from your honesty and integrity.
Highly confident and able to perform cold calls.
