About the rolePulteney Grammar School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Outdoor Learning Coordinator to join our team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging outdoor learning experiences that complement our curriculum and enhance our students' holistic development. Based in Adelaide, SA, this position offers the opportunity to shape our school's approach to outdoor education and contribute to the growth and wellbeing of our vibrant school community.
What you'll be doing Designing and implementing a comprehensive outdoor learning program that aligns with the school's educational objectivesOrganising and leading outdoor activities, field trips, and excursions that expand students' knowledge and skillsCollaborating with teachers to integrate outdoor learning opportunities into the curriculumEnsuring the safety and well-being of students during all outdoor activitiesManaging the maintenance and procurement of outdoor equipment and resourcesPromoting outdoor learning initiatives and fostering a culture of environmental stewardship among the school communityProviding training and professional development for teaching staff to enhance their delivery of outdoor learning experiencesWhat we're looking for Tertiary qualifications in education, outdoor recreation, or a related fieldExtensive experience in outdoor education program development and implementationDemonstrated expertise in leading and supervising outdoor activities, including risk management and emergency responseStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage students, parents, and staffExcellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to multi-task and work within deadlinesA passion for environmental sustainability and a commitment to promoting outdoor learning and hands-on experiencesA valid driver's licence and willingness to travel for off-campus activitiesWhat we offerAt Pulteney Grammar School, we are committed to providing our employees with a supportive and rewarding work environment.
