ABOUT THE SCHOOL

THE ROLE
Tranby College is seeking expressions of interest from Outdoor Education Teachers, with
the ability to teach HPE and Mathematics, who would relish the opportunity to design and
deliver innovative and exciting 9 to 12 Outdoor Education, including ATAR and General
Programs to our outstanding students for a full-time appointment for 2024 with the
possibility of ongoing.
In addition to the teaching responsibilities, the successful candidate will also work with the
Head of Senior School to co-ordinate our Experiential Learning Experiences, including
attending them overnight.

the Uniting Church in Australia, located in Baldivis.
We are excited to hear from educators who:
• Have a passion for working with young people;
• Have the ability to teach HPE and Mathematics;
• Have the right to work in Australia;
• Hold or are eligible for TRBWA registration and a Working with Children Check;
• Hold a teaching degree (Essential) and are working towards being at the Highly Accomplished Teacher ATISL Standard (Desirable);
• Hold a current Aquatic Rescue and First Aid, preferably at a Wilderness First Aid level;
• Hold a current Western Australia Driver's License, preferably an LR/MR class licence;
• Have extensive experience and relevant qualifications in the specific fields of bushwalking, paddle sports, mountain biking and navigation;
• Can co-ordinate all logistics associated with the programming, planning, and running of outdoor activities;
• Assist in the end-to-end internal and external recruitment of staff for camps and activities;
• Have excellent content and pedagogical knowledge and skills necessary to deliver effective teaching and learning programs;
• Can integrate digital and other technologies and experiential learning into their programs;
• Proficient skills in using information and learning technologies such as Microsoft 365;
• Design and deliver creative, innovative, and engaging learning experiences to secondaryaged students;
• Work collaboratively within a team of teachers and education paraprofessionals;
• Will positively contribute to the collective efficacy of our staff;
• Can use data and evidence to improve their teaching and student achievement and wellbeing;
• Be an excellent role model and mentor for students across the College;
• Will actively contribute to the broader College community and engage in our cocurricular program; and,
• Support our values and will work to help us achieve our mission and vision.
