Our campus in Bibra Lake is thriving, and we are in the process of expanding and growing an additional campus in the Perth Hills at Parkerville Steiner College. We are seeking dynamic and creative people to join our teaching staff.
An appreciation for nature and the environment is a core part of Steiner Education. Our students experience at least one camp each year from Class 4 to Class 12, each with a different focus in line with the curriculum and the needs of the students.
In an increasingly technology-driven educational landscape, our approach prioritises the human side of teaching: fostering authentic connections and personal engagement between educators and students. As a Camp Leader, you'll focus on inspiring engaged students, allowing you to build meaningful relationships that develop over the years.
We are currently looking for teachers to enthusiastically embrace the following roles:
Camp Leader – to run individual camp weeks. This includes working with staff and students in the lead up to the camp.Outdoor Education Class teacher – teaching the Outdoor Education Elective classes for the Year 11 and 12 students.The FTE of the position will depend on the number of camps you attend each year and whether you are interested and able to teach in other areas. We encourage you to mention your ideal workload when applying for this position.
The successful applicants will have experience in leading and managing camps, thorough knowledge of Outdoor Education concepts including Nature Connective practices, a willingness to learn about the philosophy that stands behind Steiner Education, and an enthusiasm for working with youth.
