The Outbound Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day management and leadership of the Outbound team. This includes handling team members' questions and concerns, ensuring the daily workflow and productivity levels are maintained, ensuring all orders are processed efficiently and within their required timeframes and will also have a crucial role in maintaining inventory, stock integrity, and supply levels.Essential FunctionsManage the outbound operations to ensure accurate and timely picking/shipping processes of all orders with maximum efficiency.Support and implement ways to improve processes and procedures to maximize the efficiencies of the outbound teams.Report any mechanical problems or outages and escalate to relevant departments.Lodge 3rd party support tickets during outages in Starshipit, Peoplevox etc.Ensure effective coaching methods throughout the outbound operations while maintaining all company policies and procedures.Assisting with order fulfillment; Creating 'batches', resolving invalid addresses and parcel locker orders, rectifying and investigating failed actions, PR/Staff orders, and faulty items.Assisting with email communication to customers regarding missing items, order cancellations, address validation.Inventory Management alongside DC Assists; Performing stocktakes, investigating variances, and upkeep of tubs and locations.Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained at all times; restocking pack stations, auditing stationary levels, and maintaining a clean work environment.Escalate issues to senior management within an appropriate time frame.Complete order amendments as they arise from the Customer Experience Team.Assist with cross-functional task forces designed to improve business outcomes.Liaising with couriers and carriers regarding pickup and drop-off timelines.Collaborate with the Warehouse Lead and Director of Operations on the implementation and change management of new systems or channel expansions.Complete weekly timesheets for casual employees.Access outbound freight performance with the Customer Experience managers/Leads and the director of operations.Attend monthly meetings with carriers.Team/Health & SafetyAssist in coaching, performance managing, leading, developing and inspiring the fulfillment team to meet and exceed set KPI's and business objectives.Work collaboratively with the Warehouse Lead to develop, implement, and manage a robust training program for cross-skilling teams throughout the warehouse.Work collaboratively with the People & Culture Manager and Warehouse Lead to develop, implement, and maintain a robust occupational health and safety program in the warehouse and across the entire site (inclusive of the warehouse, office, and outdoor areas).Ensure the team is appropriately rostered and trained to accomplish all assigned tasks and planned workload.Ensure OH&S standards are adhered to at all times.All other duties as assigned or required.Knowledge & Skill RequirementsPrevious experience in an outbound warehouse environment.Motivated to work in a fast-paced and high-volume warehouse environment.Have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.Show initiative and work efficiently.Demonstrated problem-solving ability.High degree of integrity and honesty.Tech Savvy.Work well both in a team and independently.Are reliable and trustworthy.A strong focus on achieving excellence and commitment to teamwork.A professional approach to troubleshooting problems.A great committed attitude and work ethic.We care about our employees and have curated a benefit package that enriches our team's experience.
