The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of an organisation dedicated to nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. We are seeking an experienced Outage and Commissioning Coordinator to enable the effective and timely outage and commissioning activities for successful delivery of HumeLink.
The position will collaborate closely with HumeLink's delivery partners, Transgrid's system operations teams, other internal business units and other external stakeholders (e.g. Essential Energy, SHL, AEMO, etc). The role will require extensive periods spent on site managing commissioning activities and travel between proposed project offices and new or augmented substations.
About You Tertiary Qualifications or extensive relevant experience in transmission network outages Demonstrated knowledge of construction within the energy sector High level of technical knowledge in the construction of substation or transmission line Excellent ability to influence change for the benefit of safe execution of large scale, multi-disciplined, remote transmission, energy and substation projects Extensive experience in directing project teams Extensive experience in contract management Extensive experience in leading highly skilled and technical field teams Effective communicator within team and with other business unit stakeholders Be delivery focused, with a high level of self-motivation and drive to support the project in delivering to a tight schedule Skilled negotiator able to negotiate win-win outcomes with external parties Significant track record working on large infrastructure projects Experience and skill in prioritising and managing multiple projects/tasks High level of written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills Ability to self-manage, work under pressure and work in a team environment Knowledge of, and prior experience with outage and access submission and management Ability to prioritise and manage tasks within deadlines and with minimal supervision Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of people and build and enhance key relationships Experience in commissioning of complex electrical systems is highly desirable Recognition & Reward In return for your hard work, we have numerous benefits and initiatives to support you personally and professionally including but not limited to private health insurance discount, motor vehicle lease plan, career development support, study assistance program and workplace flexibility.
