Our client, Gas Flow Engineering Pty Ltd, a gas and fuel services company, is currently seeking a full-time experienced Fitter (General) to join our team based in Victoria for ongoing maintenance and installation works. Ideally, the successful applicant would have a previous Fuels/Mechanical/Plumbing background or have a similar set of skills for the service, maintenance and installation of Petroleum and LPG dispensing equipment. Having an understanding to the demands of the service industry, in particular the nature of the Petroleum industry would be an advantage but not essential as on the job training will be provided with career progression opportunities available for the right person. Role: As part of the role you will be responsible for, but not limited to the following tasks: •  maintenance and installation of fuel and auto gas LPG systems and bowsers at Service Stations; •  installation and modification of fuel and LPG systems at Service Stations; •  all activities incidental to the above such as minor excavation, concrete cutting, welding, pipe fitting, concreting. You will be required to perform these duties, and any other duties assigned to you, having regard to your skills, training and experience. To be successful in this role you must have: •  Thorough understanding of what is involved in a Fitter Technician's role with the expectation that some interstate and overnight travel will be required both inside and outside of normal working hours; •   Attention to detail when completing your duties; •   Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with Clients, Management and Co-workers on all levels; •   The ability to problem-solve and conduct complex troubleshooting tasks; •    The ability to work independently and unsupervised; •    Genuine enthusiasm for their work, •     A great attitude and willingness to learn; •     Be honest, reliable and trustworthy in all facets of your work.
