As a Field Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting execution projects that forms part of the Woodside Karratha Life Extension portfolio of works.  You will be part of team that work exclusive under the Woodside Brownfields EP Services Program includes engineering and procurement services for brownfields projects at Woodside's onshore gas facilities – Karratha Gas Plant and Pluto LNG Park – and includes: Project management & engineering Detailed engineering & drafting Project services including project controls Procurement & contracts Field engineering and commissioning You will bring your years of structural engineering expertise to Worley and join a high performing team who will value your diverse background and as well innovative thinking which suits brownfield projects both external corrosion projects as well as expansion projects with the Woodside team. What you'll do We are looking for a Field Structural Engineer to join our Karratha team.  The role responsibilities include: Reporting to the lead field engineer, you will be the Civil/ Structural Field Focal point and contact for offsite design team pre-RFI work scopes for Major Refurbishment (MR) Projects and the External Corrosion (EC) Portfolio. provide liaison with home office engineering teams Review and sign off on Lift Plans and site review of civil installations (e.g pre-cast inspection) Review inspection findings, assess fitness for service and make recommendations Perform field reviews to ensure adherence to engineering design. Review and site approval of as-built documents (Underground Services) Attend Project progress meetings and deliver a status of engineering work scope activities. Interpret, clarify, and provide guidance on engineering documentation Interface with contractor on technical queries and provide technical response. Submit and monitor Technical Deviation Requisition Queries (TDRQs) Designated field focal point for resolution of Contractor Engineering queries. Liaise with facility engineers and technical authorities Manage Inspection and Engineering data as well as quality checks between SOW and execution job cards Provide progress status reports to management and answer queries from various personnel Documentation writing (Basis of Design, Implementation guidelines, Engineering Guidelines, etc.) Sign off on Red Line Mark Ups and As-Builts as Site Approver as required. Develop and manage Site Actioned Engineering Deliverables Provide and adhere to a proactive safety culture. Provide and adhere to a proactive approach to Continuous Improvement What you'll have Bachelor of Structural/Civil Engineering degree Experience in structural engineering design in brownfield mining and/or oil & gas industry Previous experienced with performing site inspections will be advantageous Ability to work independently and as part of a team A person of integrity who is trusted by others and consistently honours their commitments. Able to identify issues, problems, and opportunities; make timely decisions; develop appropriate and innovative solutions; and seek assistance as required. Excellent verbal and written communications skills Demonstrates initiative and a willingness to learn Able to work on multiple projects of various size and complexity. Able to work effectively in small to large multi-disciplinary teams Be highly driven with a focus on delivery and service Demonstrate HSE capability Monitor and ensure work is completed in accordance with the Project Execution and HSE Management Plans Monitor and guide contractors to ensure their compliance with the HSE Plan. Participation in HSE reviews, assessments, incident reviews and audits as required. Maintain a safe working environment and manage personal Safety and Environmental performance. Be familiar with construction work, job start meetings, permit procedures and statutory requirements. Be familiar with identifying hazards and controls to mitigate them.
