Due to continued growth in the Construction Industry in Tasmania, we are seeking a team player dedicated to coordination of construction sites to assist in successful delivery of projects.
About the OpportunityOur client, a Tasmanian based, privately owned company, is seeking experienced Site Managers for projects in Southern Tasmania to continue providing high quality and reliability to their clients. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for:
Scheduling of site activitiesHiring of workforceSupervision of site tasksTroubleshooting any issues during constructionFor instance, you will liaison with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure materials are delivered on time and work progresses as expected. You will make reports to clients and review building practices to verify compliance with health and safety standards and project management procedures.
About YouThis role is ideal for experienced Site Managers with extensive experience in negotiating with contractors to ensure the construction work adheres to the stipulated budgets. You will possess a proven track record of successful site management and utilise your communication skills to liaise with subcontractors, residents and your workforce whilst following directions from the Project Management Team.
To be considered for the role, you must have:
Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar roleCertificate III in Carpentry and/or Joinery or Relevant Trade CertificateSound understanding and adherence to Workplace Health & Safety legislationAbility to transition from office based duties to onsite workPossess a high level of literacy, numeracy and computer skillsBe a team player with excellent communication skillsBe able to undertake tasks autonomouslyHold a current driver's licence and have reliable form of transportDo you value relationships, integrity, safety, and quality and want to work in a supportive environment, for a company that values work-life balance for their employees?
