Due to continued growth in the Construction Industry in Tasmania, we are seeking a team player dedicated to coordination of construction sites to assist in successful delivery of projects.
About the Opportunity Our client, a Tasmanian based, privately owned company, is seeking experienced Site Managers for projects in Southern Tasmania to continue providing high quality and reliability to their clients.
As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for: Scheduling of site activities Hiring of workforce Supervision of site tasks Troubleshooting any issues during construction For instance, you will liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure materials are delivered on time and work progresses as expected.
You will make reports to clients and review building practices to verify compliance with health and safety standards and project management procedures.
About You This role is ideal for experienced Site Managers with extensive experience in negotiating with contractors to ensure the construction work adheres to the stipulated budgets.
You will possess a proven track record of successful site management and utilise your communication skills to liaise with subcontractors, residents and your workforce whilst following directions from the Project Management Team.
To be considered for the role, you must: Have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role Hold a Certificate III in Carpentry and/or Joinery or Relevant Trade Certificate Have a sound understanding and adherence to Workplace Health & Safety legislation Be able to transition from office based duties to onsite work Possess a high level of literacy, numeracy and computer skills Be a team player with excellent communication skills Be able to undertake tasks autonomously Hold a current driver's licence and have reliable form of transport If you value relationships, integrity, safety, and quality and want to work in a supportive environment for a company that values work life balance for their employees, we encourage you to apply.
