This is a permanent full-time opportunity for an experienced Loader Operator/Forklift driver. We have an 8 hour per day/afternoon Monday to Friday fortnightly rotating roster on offer in a cullet plant environment, located in the Gawler SA area.
The Role Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Plant Operator will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the cullet plant, including:
Operate cullet plant machinery Perform routine maintenance on machinery Attend breakdowns Record Keeping and Data Entry Using front-end loader / forklift / truck to manage raw materials Receipt and management of raw materials Prepare finished product ready for transport Supervise small groups of contractors in a stand-in situation Rotate between day and afternoon shift on a fortnightly basis. Day shift hours: 6am - 2pm Afternoon shift hours: 2pm - 10pm
To Apply You Will Need A strong mechanical aptitude, communication skills, and flexibility to be trained in multiple tasks including machine operation and use of mobile plant. The successful candidates will have a positive, can-do attitude and willingness to pitch in to help the team achieve goals and ability to work autonomously. A valid Forklift licence (LO or LF) A valid Front End Loader licence (LL) MC or HR license is highly desirable but not required. Must be willing to undertake a Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations (on-site training) A passion for safety and an understanding of HSE practices Physically fit and able to do manual tasks Apply now Ready to apply?
