We are eagerly anticipating the next exciting stage for Early Years education at Lauriston Girls' School, which will see us relocating to our new facilities at Blairholme Early Learning Centre. This move will bring all children, from babies to 4-year-old Kindergarten together - providing excellent continuity of care for our youngest learners.
Lauriston provides an OSHC program for our 3- and 4-year-old Kindergarten children which offers a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities focused on each child's sense of physical and emotional wellbeing. Opportunities for participation in both more structured activities, along with self-selected play, forms the basis for the programs being offered.
Due to movements in the team, we are seeking an Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) Coordinator to commence in November. The OSHC Coordinator position involves being in charge of, and responsible for, the effective and efficient operation of the After School and Holiday Program components of our Outside School Hours Care Service.
The OSHC Coordinator will be involved in the preparation, implementation and documentation of developmentally appropriate programs for the OSHC programs, in accordance with Blairholme Early Learning Centre's philosophy, policies, procedures and guidelines.
This is a Part time, ongoing position.
The proposed hours will be:
During Term Weeks: Monday to Thursday - 11.00am to 6.00pm (30-minute lunch break) and Friday 1.00pm to 6.00pm (30-minute lunch break) During School Holiday periods: Monday to Friday - 8-hour shift (45-minute lunch break) Desired Qualification and Experience: Minimum requirement of an ACECQA approved Diploma of Children's Services or Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent. Senior First aid training as prescribed in the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010, including anaphylaxis and emergency asthma training. Food Safety Certification, or willingness to complete relevant training. Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Framework and Education and Care Services National Regulations. Hold a current Employee Working with Children Check and Police Check (or be willing to obtain one) or VIT registration (if applicable). Benefits Include: Competitive Salaries and packages.
