This well-established accredited child-centred program includes before school care, after school care, and vacation care services at 14 locations across the region.
Our professional team creates a fun, inclusive, safe, and enriching environment for primary school-aged children attending our services.
Rainbow Region Kids is now on the hunt for a dynamic OSHC Assistant Coordinator to work 30 hours per week (minimum) primarily based at our Ocean Shores, Before and After school care and vacation care service.
At times, the OSHC Assistant Coordinator will need to work at other locations (and when approved, drive a pool car to commute to other services if required).
Generous programming time is included in weekly hours and based at our head office in Lismore.
Weekly contract hours (30 per week) are worked within the service operational hours:
Before school care (2 hours) After school care (2:30pm to 6:00pm) Vacation care 8am to 6pm Your role Lead the day-to-day operations at the service. Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program including sports, fun and educational games, cooking, art, and craft. Programs developed for individual needs and groups! Foster healthy relationships with children, parents, and the school community. You'll be responsible for supervising children to ensure their safety and well-being. Lead and supervise Educators, junior staff, and students onsite. Additional benefits we offer Attractive salary packaging options (take home more pay!). Knowledge, skills and experience required Diploma in Children's Services (or equivalent) and/or 3 years' experience working with school-aged children. Ability to work alone and unsupervised with up to 15 children. Demonstrated supervision skills in an education setting. Demonstrated experience communicating in a range of contexts. Knowledge and understanding of childhood development and programming for children. An understanding of Children's Services Regulations, the National Quality Framework (NQF), and the My Time Our Place Framework. Demonstrated experience in implementing quality improvement through and evaluating routines. Ability to undertake work via digital and cloud-based systems. Additional requirements A current Driver's license. Current NSW working with children's check prior to commencement. Undertake national police check.
