Nicholls OSHClubis looking for a passionate and motivated Assistant Coordinator to provide engaging services for children in our before and after school care capacity. This is a permanent part-time opportunity for 30:00 hours per week guaranteed, leading a team of Educators at a large 232 licence capacity service. This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking for a step up in their career, willing to support the service Coordinators, actively assisting with broad service management and contributing to quality programming
Hours are as follows: Monday – Friday, 07:00 – 09:00 AM (Rise then Shine Program) and 02:45 – 6:00 PM (Stay and Play Program) + additional admin hours. You can pick up extra hours during the school holidays too!
About the role Leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.
Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into!Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents.Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management.Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration.About us Partnering with parents and school communities, our goal is to build brighter futures by supporting children's development through play in fun, engaging environments. Who are we looking for? We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:
Enjoy working with kids.Strong and clear communication.Team player with a desire to become a service leader.Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children.Must meet ACECQA requirements for 1st qualified. Ideally minimum Diploma qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care), or have completed minimum 2 years of full-time studyin a relevant field.What's in it for you?
