About the Role:
The Steward Supervisor oversees the stewarding operation during shifts, ensuring food and beverage areas are maintained to high hygienic standards. They provide leadership to the team, ensuring cleanliness is upheld across the property. The role includes supervising the cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen areas, exhaust hoods, equipment, utensils, and dishes in an efficient and timely manner. Additionally, the Steward Supervisor directs all activities within the kitchen stewarding department, such as assigning duties to stewards, monitoring cleanliness, and managing the inventory of kitchenware, dishware, and supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations. This is a full-time salaried position.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the daily operations of the steward department. Train and monitor staff in cleaning techniques, safety, and sanitation regulations. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment. Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation regulations. Coordinate and track proper maintenance of equipment. Supervise the receivable and storage of kitchen goods. Supervise the cleaning and storage of kitchen equipment. Supervise the removal of waste. Engage in and supervise the cleaning of kitchen and equipment. About You:
Previous experience in a hotel kitchen required, steward supervisor role preferred. Working knowledge of health and safety regulations. Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask. Your application will include the following questions:
