Professional 3 (Remuneration Package $127,522 – $142,618) Nurse Level 4 (Remuneration Package $136,688 – $146,724) Position: Orthoptist or Clinical Nurse Specialist in Ophthalmology Location: Alice Springs Vacancy Type: Ongoing or fixed for 2 yearsThe Central Australia ophthalmology service is looking for a highly skilled and dedicated orthoptist or clinical nurse specialist to provide clinical leadership, expertise, education, training, and clinical systems advice and support across the region. The role involves ensuring the delivery of high quality, culturally appropriate, and effective Orthoptic and Ophthalmic care for both adult and paediatric clients in conjunction with the Alice Springs Hospital and throughout the Central Hospital Network services, while providing clinical leadership and supervision to orthoptists and ophthalmic nurses within NT Health.The ophthalmology clinic is part of the Outpatients department at Alice Springs Hospital. The unit has one full-time consultant ophthalmologist, one senior hospital medical officer, an ophthalmology fellow, and an ophthalmology registrar.
