About the role: The Orthopaedic Staff Specialist Doctor will be a valued member of the Surgical and Perioperative division to undertake elective and trauma components of Orthopaedic Surgery.
You will be required to provide assessment and treatment to patients of Albury Wodonga Health Orthopaedic Services. The Unit also provides direct responsibility to the Emergency Department orthopaedic patients. You will also have the opportunity to provide supervision, support and training of medical students, junior medical officers and registrars on-site in theatres, wards and clinics.
We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity:
A primary medical qualification which permits registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and a recognised Fellowship which permits Specialist level registration.
Experience in orthopaedic elective and emergency surgery practice.
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to clinical quality improvement and peer review.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and harmoniously with medical and other health service colleagues as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues and staff.
