About the role
The SHES Assurance and Systems Specialist is part of a Global Safety Health Environment and Security (SHES) team which will support the Manager SHES Assurance and Governance in:
The implementation of the SHES audit and verification framework which is embedded in all levels of our operations (corporate, regional and site) to verify compliance with our Safety Management system and to understand if our operations are managing our SHES risks. This position provides a key role in assisting in facilitating the corporate SHES audit program, along with assessing ongoing compliance and resolution of actions. Sharing SHES improvement opportunities which have been identified through our audit and verification activities. Management and update of our Orica SHES Management System as required (including document management in our database). Facilitation of review and translation of Corporate documents which apply across our operations. Collaboration with other roles within the SHES network across Orica. What you will be doing
Maintain Group Standard(s), Group Procedure(s) and relevant guidance for SHES audit and assurance activities, in accordance with the SHES Assurance framework. Support the update of any element of the SHES Management System including peer review process, translation and version management. Execute and manage SHES Assurance Activities in line with the group Standard(s) and systems. Implement SHES Improvement Framework in line with the group Standard(s) and systems. SHES Training and Collaboration, Support design and development of SHES assurance and SHES MS training programs and tools. What you will bring
Relevant Qualification in Safety, Health or Environment. Experience conducting / leading audits with Auditor qualifications preferred, but not essential. Experience in system / process / risk improvements. Five + years of Industry experience (manufacturing / mining / chemical / oil & gas). Understanding of safety and environmental regulatory frameworks, SHE Management systems, SHE audit and auditing frameworks and risk management. Experience with analysis and development of SHES programs. Good written and verbal English (essential). Experience working with different countries / cultures preferred. Good understanding of Mining Safety Management System Aspect by always prioritizing Safety Value. What we offer
