This full-time role will give you a chance to deliver on the key objectives of Council's Customer Experience and Continuous Improvement Program.
Permanent full-time role Salary (Level 6 Officer): $106,171 to $113,415 per annum (FTE) plus superannuation Based at Hilton on the city fringe One rostered day off per month Free car parking on site What you'll do You will assist in driving continuous improvement culture and enhancing operational performance by facilitating workshops using the City of West Torrens' Lean framework.
Additionally, you will lead and support change management initiatives, being proactive to minimise disruption to the Council.
Your collaboration on strategic projects to enhance customer experience, while advocating for customer value in business process redesign, will be some of the exciting projects you will be working on.
You will also provide training and coaching to our employees to enable a customer-centric culture.
Other key responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Providing advice and partnering with business units to provide continuous improvement insights on operational performance data Working with internal and external stakeholders to undertake the business needs and customer pain points to help problem solve before jumping to solutions Value stream mapping and assisting in process documentation across the organisation Providing support, advice, training and assistance on the application of process improvement tools and techniques.
Preparing and submitting reports, including continuous improvement project overviews and quarterly performance review reports.
Who you are You will possess exceptional communication and negotiation skills as you will be working with subject matter experts and internal teams with conflicting interests.
Ideally, you will have a tertiary qualification in organisational development, business management, or a related field, or have a minimum of 3 years in a similar however it will also be highly regarded if you possess a sound understanding of technology and systems as this role works closely with our IT system solutions team.
A qualification in Lean Thinking or 12 months experience in facilitating process improvement workshops would also be advantageous.
In addition, in accordance with the requirements of this role, a National Police Clearance (within 6 months of issue) will be required as part of the recruitment process.
