The Organisational Development Consultant is a principal technical expert in contemporary Organisational Development (OD) methodologies, tools and approaches, with a solid understanding of Learning and Development (L&D) principles and curriculum design.

The opportunity:
Provide high-level advice and consultancy services to Service Group leadership across the Hospital and Health Service (HHS) regarding workforce and work system performance improvement.
This position works closely with all Human Resource (HR) functions to define, design, develop and coordinate the delivery of effective and engaging OD and workforce performance improvement initiatives that build workforce capability and competence, and contribute to a positive, innovative and values-based workplace culture.
The Organisational Development Consultant will be acting as a professional lead, they will effectively integrate the methodologies of Organisational Development and Learning and Development to analyse, diagnose and then co-develop/deliver integrated and engaging development solutions that build necessary capability and performance, and enhance the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS) culture.

Role requirements:
Whilst not mandatory, a relevant qualification in adult education, workplace learning, organisational development and/or vocational learning would be highly desirable.
Experience within the learning function of large, complex organisations is highly desirable.
The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:
Organisational development and learning along with development methodologies.
Effective program design, development and deployment with accompanying transfer of learning and sustainability methodologies and strategies.
People management and team leadership subject matter expertise.
Expertise in understanding and supporting positive workplace cultures and employee engagement.
