The purpose of this role is to manage the overall aspects of a farm to produce almonds at the lowest production cost measured as dollars per kilogram.

As the manager of the Wandown Orchard in Boundary Bend, Victoria, you will be accountable for the safety of all people on the farm. You will ensure the effective utilization of resources (people, equipment, water, inputs, and land) and develop a high-performing and healthy team culture. Orchard Managers at Olam are responsible for tree health, identifying pests and diseases, maximizing yields, team culture, and safety in order to deliver cost per hectare targets.

people leadership and managementirrigation systemsorchard equipment and operationpest and disease identificationcost-effective implementation of agronomic programsyield estimationExperience with almond farming will be highly regarded, as will a working knowledge of SAP systems. Additional training will be provided to all candidates as required.
