The purpose of this role is to manage the overall aspects of a farm to produce almonds at the lowest production cost measured as dollars per kilogram.

As the manager of the Wandown Orchard in Boundary Bend, Victoria, you will be accountable for the safety of all people on the farm. You will ensure the effective utilization of resources (people, equipment, water, inputs, and land) and develop a high-performing and healthy team culture. Orchard Managers at Olam are responsible for tree health, identifying pests and diseases, maximizing yields, team culture, and safety in order to deliver cost per hectare targets.
We seek applications from candidates who are willing to live on the farm, who are open to change, adaptable, responsible, and committed. At a minimum, you will possess strong knowledge/experience in:
people leadership and management irrigation systems orchard equipment and operation pest and disease identification cost-effective implementation of agronomic programs yield estimation Experience with almond farming will be highly regarded, as will a working knowledge of SAP systems. Additional training will be provided to all candidates as required.
