JOB DESCRIPTIONProvide essential support + first point of contact for people experiencing family violenceIncrease your take home pay with up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits.Full-time, Max-term parental leave cover until 06/09/2025, based in HorshamAbout the opportunityWe have an exciting opportunity to join our multi-disciplinary team at Wimmera Orange Door.
The Orange Door Program brings together workforces from Community Service Organisations, Aboriginal Services, Family Safety Victoria and DFFH, to deliver an integrated practice model and a consolidated intake point for:
Women, children, young people and families who are experiencing or have experienced family violencePerpetrators of family violenceFamilies requiring support with the care, development and wellbeing of unborn babies, infants, children and young peopleAs an Orange Door Practitioner, you will operate collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, safe, and effective responses to children, young people, and families facing family violence.
In this role, you will also focus specifically on the provision of services to vulnerable families who require extra support with the care, development and wellbeing of infants, children and young people.
What's on offerIn addition to base salary plus superannuation, you'll also receive 17.5% leave loading and access to the full $15,900 salary packaging benefits.
Paid Parental Leave for up to 10 weeks.
10% gap discount for childcare services with Uniting Early Learning.
About youYou are looking to join an organisation that truly supports vulnerable Victorians and Tasmanians to improve their lives.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:
A Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent; orA minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience or have a related qualification relevant to child and family welfare as per the mandatory minimum qualifications for family violence practitioners; orSignificant cultural knowledge and experience or lived experience, and have faced barriers to educational pathways as per the mandatory minimum qualifications for family violence practitioners.A current Drivers Licence valid in VictoriaDemonstrated ability as a practitioner in the child, youth and family welfare field including experience in undertaking comprehensive risk and needs assessments and risk management responsesA commitment to the family-centered approach and the family strengthening and empowerment models of practiceAn understanding of the 'Best Interests' framework, CYFA 2005, Family Violence Protection Act 2008, FVISS, CISS and MARAM frameworks is desirableAn understanding of the gendered nature of family violenceHow to applyClick APPLY to submit your interest and we'll be in touch shortly.
