About the area
The Oral Health Centre of Western Australia (OHCWA), part of the UWA Dental School, is Western Australia's primary hub for oral health education, research, and specialist care delivery. Situated within the QEII campus and in partnership with the WA Department of Health, OHCWA provides cutting-edge training in a simulated environment. The Centre treats approximately 15,000 patients annually and offers clinical and technical training programs for various health professionals, including dental students, postgraduate trainees, and allied health practitioners.
About the opportunity
Deliver direct patient care at OHCWA and satellite sites. Support clinical staff and student clinicians in a collaborative, hands-on training environment. Conduct a range of clinical procedures, from exams and preventive treatments to radiographic imaging and therapeutic interventions. About you
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Oral Health Therapy and current registration with AHPRA. Demonstrated experience with dental examinations, preventive care, and therapeutic interventions. In-depth understanding of the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (WA) Act 2010 and Australian infection control guidelines. Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to patient education and cross-functional teamwork. Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team in a clinical setting. Special Requirements
