Our client is seeking a Senior Oracle DBA to join its dynamic team in Canberra. If you have extensive experience with Oracle databases (11g to 19c) and a passion for database management and support, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities: Database Administration and Support:
Manage and maintain Oracle databases to ensure optimal performance and availability. Patch Management:
Coordinate and implement patch management to keep systems up-to-date and secure. Backup and Recovery:
Plan, test, and manage backup and recovery strategies to protect critical data. Collaboration:
Work closely with Systems Administrators and IT teams to coordinate database-related tasks. Service Improvement:
Review, recommend, and implement new services and enhancements as required. Application/System Support:
Provide support for applications and systems as designated. RAC, Dataguard, and RMAN:
Utilise your experience with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Data Guard, and Recovery Manager (RMAN). Scripting:
Develop and maintain scripts for database and Oracle Linux operating system tasks. Oracle KVM (OLVM):
Apply your knowledge in this role.

Experience supporting mission-critical database platforms. Standards and Best Practices:
Ability to develop and enforce standards and best practices. Documentation and Communication:
Strong skills in documentation and communication, with the ability to interact effectively with staff and customers. On-Call Support:
Willingness to participate in weekend and after-hours callout work as part of the support roster. Security Clearance:
Must hold NV1 Security Clearance (Essential).
